Agreement

By using Capo & Cable you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Capo & Cable is published by Slate Mill Group.

What this site is

An editorial publication about guitar accessories. We compile published manufacturer specifications, cite where each figure came from, track live prices, and give opinions about which products suit which players.

What this site is not

• A shop. We sell nothing. Every purchase happens on a retailer's site, under that retailer's terms.
• A testing laboratory. We have not played, handled or owned the products described here, and every commercial page says so.
• Professional advice. Guidance about instrument setup and maintenance is general information, not advice about your specific instrument.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously — every figure is cited to a source and rows where a maker publishes nothing are marked as such. Even so:

• Manufacturers change specifications, and a published figure can be revised or withdrawn after we record it.
• Prices change constantly. Prices here come from a live feed with a date stamp and disappear when stale, but the price at checkout is always the retailer's.
• Products are discontinued and replaced.

Content is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. If you find an error, tell us — see the editorial policy for how corrections work.

Instrument care and setup guidance

Some pages describe maintenance procedures. Where a job carries real risk of damage — truss-rod adjustment, nut slot filing, fret work — we say so and recommend a qualified technician, and we deliberately do not publish step-by-step instructions for those procedures.

Any work you carry out on your own instrument is at your own risk. We cannot see your guitar and cannot be responsible for the outcome of work you do to it.

We are not a party to any transaction you make with a retailer. Delivery, returns, warranty and customer service are matters between you and them.

We link to manufacturer pages, specification sheets and retailers so you can check our sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices.

Intellectual property

The text, structure, scoring rubric and original photography on this site belong to Slate Mill Group unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote short passages with attribution and a link. Wholesale copying of pages is not permitted.

Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification. Their appearance does not imply endorsement of this site by them, or by us of them beyond what the text actually says.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Mill Group is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including any purchase decision made on the basis of information published here.

These terms may be updated. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site means accepting the version in force.
